Today morning, the Syrian Democratic Council held a meeting of religious personages and scholars, at the headquarter of the Institute of Religious Affairs in the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood in Aleppo city, to discuss the latest developments in the current stage.
The meeting, which was attended by tens of religious personages and scholars, began with a speech by a member of the Relations Office, “Fatima Al-Husseinou”, where she spoke about the Syrian crisis and its repercussions locally and regionally, as well as she talked about the meetings of Astana and Geneva, which have not achieved anything so far.
In turn, a member of the Presidential Council, “Marei Al-Shibli”, spoke about the impact of international policies on the Syrian file, and reviewed the prospect of a political solution.
He pointed out the foreign plans aimed at destabilizing security and stability in the region, praising the influential role of religious personages and scholars in rejecting violence in societies.
He added that the spread of the phenomenon of terrorism in the Syrian arena, and the spread of the phenomenon of killing because of sectarian and ethnic affiliation made Syria and its people lost into the maze of war, which has turned into a cancer that affected Syria and Syrians.
He also pointed out the role of the Syrian Democratic Council and its relentless efforts to put forward Syrian solutions projects that are compatible with the desire of the Syrian people.
He stressed that the political solution begins with the consensus of the Syrians, and pointed out the necessity of the Syrian-Syrian dialogue through the participation of all and the implementation of UN Resolution 2254.
The meeting ended with a discussion by the audience, as the discussions focused on the importance of uniting fronts and all components towards establishing a cohesive society against the strives that have tried to divide the Syrian unity.
