The Syrian Democratic Council “SDC” met with representatives of active political parties in the city of Kobani in the eastern countryside of Aleppo, to discuss the political transition and methods to develop a common vision.
The Relations Office of the Syrian Democratic Council held a workshop that included the majority of political parties in the city of Kobani, and the officials of the Relations Office said that they seek to develop a common vision and strengthen the partnership among the political components as a national necessity to face the challenges and resolve the Syrian crisis.
The workshop dealt with three themes in which the first one discussed the features of the third alternative and the role of political parties in this in which the participants agreed on the importance of the SDC role at this stage as it expresses a national project, starts from the Syrian ground and has an experience and an advanced model for governance.
The second theme discussed the role of the international community in advancing the Syrian-led political process leading the country to safety. This theme also discussed the role of the active states in the Syrian file and their impact on the final form of the Syrian solution.
The third theme discussed the objectives of the Syrian Democratic Council, its political project and the path that it leads to resolve the Syrian crisis according to a national agenda based on the consensus of Syrians through dialogue and negotiation away from exclusion and discrimination.
At the end of the workshop, the member of the Relations Office of the Syrian Democratic Council, Kamel Hazber, praised this participation of the parties of Kobani and noted the importance of gathering Syrian elites and enabling a coordination and a cooperation among them on the one hand and between them and the SDC on the other.
The Public Relations Office of the Syrian Democratic Council holds meetings and workshops with various Syrian political components inside and outside the country to reach common visions that meet the aspirations of the Syrian people and achieve the demands for which they have demonstrated since 2011.
