The “SDC” Meets with Sheikhs and Clerics in Aleppo

The Relations Office members of the Syrian Democratic Council met with sheikhs and clerics in Al- Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood of Aleppo city to discuss the developments of the Syrian crisis, the role of clerics in bringing views closer and establishing a harmony among components.

A member of the Presidential Council of the Syrian Democratic Council, Meraee Al-Shibli, spoke at the beginning of the meeting about the latest developments regarding the International and regional arenas, recent developments in the region and the importance of the role of clerics in society.

Al-Shibli referred to the recent events that took place in al-Sina’a prison in Al-Hasakah, pointing out that it was a conspiracy aimed at undermining stability and destabilizing security in the region. He stressed the importance of forming international courts to try the leaders and members of “ISIS” in the region.

He also pointed out to the ongoing Turkish policies against civilians and that the Turkish occupation continues systematically to change the demography of the occupied areas in Syria, and construct settlements with the support of Gulf associations (Qatari and Kuwaiti associations) to achieve Turkey’s expansionist goals in Syria.

On the path of resolving the Syrian crisis, and at the end of his speech, Al –Shibli said that the solution lies in continuing the Syrian-Syrian dialogue among all the people to come up with a political vision, implement Resolution 2254 and draft a new constitution for the country that meets the aspirations of the Syrian people to establish a democratic, pluralistic and decentralized Syria.
