In Al-Shahbaa, Women’s Bureau holds a seminar on participation and the role of women

Under the slogan “Together, we protect our revolution and liberate our territories”, Women’s Bureau of the Syrian Democratic Council in Al-Shahbaa in rural areas of Aleppo, coinciding with the activities of March 8th in which it was a dialogue seminar under the title “The free life, the participatory life”, attended by many female activists, women’s institutions, political parties and those interested in women’s rights issues.
The participatory life was discussed in the first theme of a seminar, and a member of the Public Relations Bureau of the Syrian Democratic Council, Muhammed Hassan, explained the concept of the participatory life by saying that “It is the first colony in history starting from the phase of marriage as an institution until working in administrative, political and economic jobs”.

The second theme was about shedding light on the issue of democracy and transition in societies, where a member of the Women’s Bureau, Lamia Al-Khalaf, spoke about the role of women in the renaissance of societies, especially their political and social role.
Al- Khalaf explained the positive impact of women’s experience in the regions of northern and eastern Syria, where women participated in decision-making and in all fields alongside men through the co-presidency system.

The seminar was concluded by the administrative of the Women’s Bureau, Zainab Qanbar, in which she clarified that the state of growth and progress witnessed by societies needs all efforts and societal energies and we should strengthen the role of women in all fields to be able to assume responsibility, to be empowered politically and socially and to struggle hand in hand with men.
