A workshop of the SDC with Tabqa parties in which entitled “Towards a common vision for the political transition”

Today, on Thursday, the Relations Bureau of the Syrian Democratic Council organized a workshop with the active political parties in the Tabqa area overlooking the Euphrates Lake, entitled “Towards a common vision for the political transition” at the headquarters of the Future Syria Party in the city.
It was attended by delegations from the parties in the city, in participation with the Co-chairmanship of the Relations Bureau in the Civil and Democratic Administrations of Tabqa, where Ibrahim Al-Mohammed, the Co-chair of the Relations Bureau in the Civil Administration of Tabqa, welcomed the guests. The dialogue was moderated by Amal Dada, a member of the Relations Bureau of the SDC, who explained that “the Syrian Democratic Council is a Syrian national framework that includes the political and societal forces that ratified its documents, and it is open to all political organizations and figures in order to assume its responsibilities for saving Syria”.
This workshop is important because “it discusses the political transition and explains a common vision that empowers parties, enhances partnership among political components, and creates a national base that faces challenges and achieves the desired political solution for the crisis.” according to Dada.
After dividing the work and forming two groups, the workshop dealt with three research themes, the first of which was the ability of the Syrian Democratic Council to be a turning point for a democratic alternative to lead the political transition, as there were different opinions on this, stressing that it must work continuously to achieve this transition.
The second theme discussed the process of convincing the international community of the existence of organized political parties capable of leading a new Syria in accordance with the pluralism and participation of the parties affiliated to the SDC.
While the third theme discussed the embodiment of the objectives of the Syrian Democratic Council practically and its ability to meet the aspirations of the people in a practical way internally and externally.
At the end of the workshop, several proposals were put forward by the participants, including the representation of parties in the councils, giving them a percentage regarding the job, allocating budgets for them, and setting clear plans that must be subjected to monitoring and evaluation that express the real aspirations of the people so that the Syrian Democratic Council becomes as a strong competitor regionally and internationally.
