The people of “Albu Kamal” announce a new political entity and warn against regional occupation projects

Political and human rights activists from Albu Kamal in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor announced a political rally to be the voice of the people of the region of various affiliations.
On Monday, members of the rally which was called “The rally of the people of Albu Kamal” and its countryside, announced to change its name to the “The Democratic Rally” in the presence of hundreds of its affiliated members, activists, human rights and community figures and individuals from different areas in East and West of the Euphrates in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.
This announcement coincided with the first founding anniversary of its launch and due to its increasing popularity in the region, as hundreds of applications were registered as a result of contacts, meetings and dialogues held by its members with several people in the region and neighboring countries based on the relations of history and common race among them.
This was during the first annual rally meeting, in which the participants affirmed their determination to be the inclusive voice of the people of the region of all its components and to assume the responsibility of the Democratic Change for which the Syrians protested and to end tyranny and the “centralization of the decision” that prevented Syrians of their right to participate in the construction of their homeland. Also, the tyrannical mentality spread corruption, chaos and destruction in Syria.
The members of the rally also touched on two dangers to the region, namely the Iranian sectarian and abhorrent project in West of the Euphrates, while the other danger in northern Syria, where the Turkish occupation, which historically seized the Iskenderun Brigade and today is following the same approach by occupying the North of Syria, and is working on demographic change in it as an attempt to seize other areas. The members described these two threats as historical dangers.
While the Democratic Rally declared several basic principles, in which it will continue to follow according to what was stated in its opening speech. The principles are:
• The Syrians as a whole, and the people of Al-Jazeera and Euphrates of all components are united by one fate, and therefore their solidarity at the most difficult stage of the region, has become an urgent need, as the Turkish occupation and the malevolent Iranian militias in our western countryside, which suffers from the processes of Shiite policies, which divided the one house, one family, and one tribe, in conjunction with working on the policy of daily assassinations systematically for anyone who violates his chaotic project in the region.
• We are as members in the Democratic Rally, we are only as a basis and a platform that emphasizes that the development of the region is the method for its stability, and that our role is to work to serve it in health, education, social and cultural aspects, believing that the only method to do it is to participate in the making of peace and stability, starting with the eliminating of the sources of terrorism, and also awareness of the policies of populist speeches by abroad, in which beneficiaries who implement the agendas of states, on the expense of our people at home, who were victims for all foreign projects starting from the chaos of weapons, Al-Nusra Front and ISIS.
• We are at the Democratic Rally commend the International Coalition led by the USA to fight terrorism, and the role of the Syrian Democratic Forces in eliminating what is known as “The Islamic State”. We value the sacrifices and the blood that was shed for this, because it is a Syrian blood of all components of its people.
• At the Democratic Rally, we affirm the right of women to participate in decision-making, and we value their role in the most difficult stages that our region has gone through.
• We affirm that our people remain on their pledge in the fight against terrorism, they were among the first people who faced the most heinous terrorist organization known to humanity. There are hundreds of families among us who have lost their sons, fathers and brothers in their battles against the extremist organization. Therefore, in this rally, we look forward to be a voice and help for them, in order to work to improve their living and service conditions.
•We are at the Democratic Rally working for a democratic, decentralized and unified Syria, which attaches importance to balanced development, social justice and the authority of the people in their regions, to ensure that all components live in freedom and peace, and in order to achieve equality in rights and duties, social justice, gender equality, the achievement of citizenship, freedom and dignity for all its children.
The announcement of the Democratic Rally was in the town of Abu Hamam in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor because of its symbolism in the face of the extremist terrorist organization “ISIS” where in the same place occurred the famous massacre of Al-Shuaitat and to be an affirmation of the role of the people of the region in the fight against terrorism.
