The Women’s Bureau of the Syrian Democratic Council held a dialogue seminar for the administrators of councils and municipal corporation in the northern countryside of Raqqa within the council’s meeting room in Raqqa.
The seminar consisted of two topics, the first of which was political, in which Fatima Al-Muhammed, a member of the Women’s Bureau of the Syrian Democratic Council, spoke about the latest political developments locally and internationally and their impact on the Syrian situation.
She also discussed Turkey’s exploitation of the regional situation in order to implement its agendas and eliminate the project of the Autonomous Administration in Syria.
She spoke on the demographic change project led by Turkey to resettle Syrian refugees in the occupied Syrian areas. “The demographic change serves its expansionist and occupation interests and achieves other goals such as getting rid of their burdens inside Turkey and the first one is the demand for the return of Syrian refugees to their cities and villages, not the demographic change project that Erdogan aspires to.” She said.
The second theme of the seminar included developing the role of women in the countryside, increasing political awareness and introducing the approach and path of the Syrian Democratic Council and its vision regarding the political resolution for the Syrian crisis. “The Syrian Democratic Council is considered a Syrian Democratic National framework consisting of community and political powers and independent figures who believe in its vision.” Thubiya Al-Nasser, an administrator of the Women’s Bureau of the Syrian Democratic Council said.
“The council believes that the form of government in Syria should be a decentralized regime based on the real democratic participation and embrace all without exclusion and that fair laws should be prevailed in our country” Thubiya Al-Nasser added.
In conclusion, the women present participated in these themes and expressed their desire and readiness to attend more of these activities and events that enrich the culture of women, educate them politically and enable them to achieve the pioneering role in the environment and society, after the distribution of educational brochures on the Syrian Democratic Council.
