The Co-Chairwoman of the Syrian Democratic Council, Amina Omar, reviewed the latest political developments at the international, regional and local levels and their impacts on the Syrian file and the path of the political settlement.
The meeting was attended by a group of Jurists, politicians and intellectuals of both sexes in AL-Darbasiyah area of the northern countryside of Al-Hasakah, in which during the meeting, the Co- Chairwoman of the Syrian Democratic Council, Amina Omar, spoke about the political developments and the political resolution.
Omar shed light on the international scene and its crises, especially in Europe, and the repercussions of the global food crisis, which has become a concern for major countries during international wars and conflicts.
Regarding the Turkish threats to the regions of northern Syria, the Co-Chairwoman of the SDC spoke about the Turkish attempts to take advantage of international conditions by exploiting contradictions, imposing certain points of view and extending its regional dominance.
Omar pointed out the seriousness of these threats and described them as serious threats, saying that those threats undermine the efforts to reach political resolutions on the one hand and the danger of the return of ISIS due to the chaos on the other.
“Turkey’s targeting of northern Syria is a targeting of the Autonomous Administration project, which is a gain for the entire Syrian people and their democratic movement.” she said.
In this context, Omar noted the diplomatic efforts of the Syrian Democratic Council at all levels by the council’s representatives in the decision-making capitals to deter Turkey and prevent it from carrying out any invasion of northern Syria.
The Co-Chairwoman of the council warned of the danger of the Turkish expansionist project, which threatens regional security and exposes peace, security and stability to the risks of the return of terrorism and extremism.
Omar touched upon the positions of the countries active regarding the Syrian file on the Turkish threats, noting that there is a consensus in various American departments to reject any Turkish operation as well as the Russian Federation.
What is required at the national level is to stand united against any new occupation by Turkey, or by the Damascus authority which is entrusted with protecting the sovereignty of the country, and general Syrian people with all its movements.
At the end of her speech, Amina Omar, the Co-Chairwoman of the SDC, spoke about the deterioration of the economic and humanitarian situation in the country, the need for Syrians to agree and unite to emerge from the current situation to safety and build Syria on the basis of civilization in which all Syrians enjoy away from exclusion and discrimination.
In turn, the attendees, including human rights activists and politicians, expressed the importance of unity of Syrian national powers, protecting the region and achieving the aspirations of the Syrian people. On the other hand, their participations focused on the importance of developing and maintaining the Autonomous Administration as a unique model in the Syrian situation.
