The Syrian Democratic Council holds an expanded meeting in Manbij

On Tuesday, July 5th, the Syrian Democratic Council held an expanded meeting with an elite of politicians, intellectuals, administrators, dignitaries, community and military figures from the city of Manbij and its countryside within one of its halls.

This meeting came to discuss the Turkish threats to the North and East of Syria and their impact on the path of the political resolution. “We are at a fateful and historical stage,” regarding talking about the latest political developments on the International and regional arena in which Hassan Muhammed Ali, the Co-Chairman of the Relations Bureau of the Syrian Democratic Council, said.

“The feature of the century is the chaos that will spread because the world hegemonic powers try to take advantage of it and change the region,” In the same context, Muhammed Ali continued.

“Turkey aims at the new Ottoman project based on the map of the Milli agreement, which includes Aleppo and Mosul, coinciding with the approach of the end of the Lausanne agreement.” He added.

As for the international rejection of any Turkish military operation in the region, Muhammad Ali warned of the consequences of this attack. “The Turkish attack on the Syrian North will turn into a catastrophic situation with undesired consequences, and we are stronger politically and militarily than we were in 2019” He said.

He concluded his speech by referring to the reality of the existing partition, the lack of signs of a resolution for the Syrian crisis, and the need for the Autonomous Administration areas to be a model for the whole of Syria. “As Syrians, we have great responsibilities towards our country, so that Syria becomes a democratic, pluralistic, decentralized state for all Syrians” he said.

For their part, the attendees discussed these threats and stressed that threats must be addressed with the aspiration that the international community has more deterrent positions to Turkish ambitions that do not target only Kurds, and the attendees urged the national cohesion and community cohesion that confronted ISIS and Turkish threats.
