The Youth Council of the SDC organized a dialogue session with a group of independent youth in Raqqa.
The session, which was held today, discussed the paths of national action with civil society and independent youth figures inside the SDC meeting hall in Raqqa.
Nasser Nasro, the Co-chair of the Diplomatic Relations Bureau of the Youth Council, reviewed the historical stages of Syria and the international agreements that divided the region and their centennial memories such as the Treaty of Lausanne and Sykes-Picot agreement.
Nasro pointed out that the revolutionary movement in Syria set a new stage in the history of the country and that the Syrian people, especially the youth segment, bear the responsibility of national action to resolve the Syrian issue.
Ahmed al-Sheikh, a civil activist, discussed the issues and concerns of youth segment in different Syrian regions and focused on Raqqa governorate and called for more dialogues and attention to the outcomes of these dialogues in order to apply them and improve our Syrian reality.
Meanwhile, Ammar al-Hamidi, a director of the “Nabad Center” for Integrated Development, called for developing the reality of youth in Raqqa city and paying attention to their needs and giving them work spaces away from stereotyping and repetition.
Ahmed al-Bush, a youth activist, began his participation by asking about the possibility of uniting all Syrians and building a future Syria, citing what the Germans did after the World War II regarding unification.
It is worth mentioning that the session dealt with other topics and multiple issues and witnessed interaction by the youth segment especially regarding the steps to build the future, as a democratic pluralistic decentralized Syria, and it was agreed on other sessions to be determined at a later date.
