The Public Relations Office of the Syrian Democratic Council (SDC) held on Saturday a dialogue seminar titled “Syrians’ Unity is the Basis for a Political Solution” in Raqqa city. The seminar was attended by an elite of human rights and cultural figures, representatives of democratic community organizations, activists and independent individuals as well as representatives of political parties in Raqqa.
Ali Rahmoun, Deputy Co-chairman of the SDC, Hassan Muhammad Ali, Co-chairman of the SDC’s Public Relations Office, and Jihan Khedro, Chairwoman of the Women’s Office, participated in the seminar.
The participants observed a minute of silence to remember the martyrs of freedom, followed by a welcoming speech for the participants and a brief overview of the latest developments on the international, regional, and local levels by Muhammad Ali.
Muhammad Ali stated that in the context of ongoing conflicts, local powers have emerged while major regional and global powers seek to suppress them. Therefore, Turkey aims to destabilize areas held by the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) through various means.
During the Seminar, Rahmoun presented the outcomes of the SDC’s Fourth Conference. He emphasized that the SDC bears the responsibility to be the primary advocate for gathering and unifying democratic national powers committed to a political solution. The goal is to establish a national body that gives priority to the Syrian issue.
Rahmoun reiterated that the Syrian unity is the basis for a political solution. The SDC is committed to implement this slogan into a practical action in its upcoming activities. The seminar also included discussions and viewpoints by participants who expressed an alignment with the national visions of the SDC and offered practical proposals for collaboration with other political powers and blocs.
The seminar was concluded with presenting opinions and providing opportunities for intellectuals and representatives of various societal segments to actively support the SDC in policy-making and strengthening relations.
