SDC holds a seminar in al-Shahbaa to discuss the political situation

The Syrian Democratic Council (SDC) held on Monday a dialogue seminar in coordination with the Syrian Democratic National Alliance Party. The purpose of the seminar was to achieve outcomes of the Fourth Conference of the SDC and based on its slogan in emphasizing the unity of Syrians. The seminar was attended by representatives from civil institutions, tribal leaders, political parties, and independent figures in al-Shahbaa in the countryside of Aleppo.

The seminar addressed the current political situation and the SDC’s path in this regard, as well as reviewed the outcomes of the SDC’s Fourth Conference.

Hassan Muhammad Ali, Co-chairman of the SDC’s Relations Office, highlighted various regional developments that have implications for the Syrian situation.

Muhammad Ali believed that Syria is experiencing instability due to the absence of solutions to its political and social problems, despite suffering and displacement.

“To advance these policies, it is essential to strengthen relations with various Syrian powers, unify national powers and visions, and create a national consensus. This will create stability and enable us to face all challenges,” Muhammad Ali stated.

During the dialogue seminar, Muhammad Ali emphasized that the SDC holds Syrian dialogues intensely to prepare holding national conferences at the regional level inside Syria. Additionally, preparations are underway for holding a conference involving Syrian national powers and figures abroad.

Furthermore, Ahmad al-Araj, Secretary-General of the Syrian National Democratic Alliance, provided an analytical assessment of the political situation and its turning into an arena for achieving interests and extending the influence. He highlighted Turkey’s attempts to exploit the distraction of major powers by ongoing wars, particularly the Israel-Hamas conflict.

“We, as members of the Syrian Democratic National Alliance Party, work with the SDC along with some Syrian national powers to unite Syrians’ stances to hold a comprehensive Syrian conference in Damascus, aiming to bring perspectives closer among Syrian powers,” al-Araj stated.

Al-Araj emphasized the importance of continuing meetings between parties and political powers. He underscored holding dialogues by national actors to address internal affairs, resolve the crisis, and achieve freedoms and social justice.

In turn, the attendees stressed the significance of uniting and cohesion of the Syrian people to build a cohesive society capable of facing challenges and establishing the participation based on a democratic national vision across all Syrian territories.
