The first day of the International Forum activities launched in the city of Amouda/north-east of Syria /today with Arab, international and local presence, with more than 100 personalities including academics, politicians, experts and specialists on terrorism issues, as well as former international officials.
The International Forum, organized by Rojava Center for Strategic Studies under slogan “ISIS, Dimensions, Challenges and Strategies of Confrontation”, is the first of its kind following the military and geographical elimination of the most dangerous organization that threatened the region and the world.
On its first day, the forum tackled “the historical and political aspect of ISIS terrorism”, highlighting the historical root of extremist thought and political dimensions that contributed to the emergence of terrorist organization .
Ahmed Sino, the member of Rojava Center, said that the aim of the Forum is to “define a strategy to confront ISIS, and serves security of the region, as well as providing solutions and proposals that determine appropriate ways to resist and dry its sources. Additionally, ensuring suitable ways to compensate those who are damaged by ISIS mercenaries and uniting international efforts to prevent the emergence of the terrorist organization again “
During his speech, Sino also noted that they were keen on the participation of all Syrian people in this forum to know what the organization has done to components of North and East Syria.
The Forum is also scheduled to address military and security aspects of ISIS terrorism, as well as cultural, religious, economic and social sides.
The Forum devoted a special session on subject of women and ISIS terrorism in addition to lawful side. The Forum will conclude its work by discussing solutions and proposals to prevent the return of ISIS again.
