The Euphrates Tribes: We Reject Any Turkish State Presence in our Safe Areas

On August 8, The Euphrates Basin tribes rejected any presence of the Turkish state in North and East areas of Syria, which are safe and stable by virtue of Syrian Democratic Forces ( SDF).
The rejection statement is issued by the dignitaries and elders of the Euophrtes tribes during a forum organized by Relations Office of SDF in coordination with SDC in sub-area of Ein Issa/ Raqqa.
The meeting was attended by dignitaries and elders of the tribes of Raqqa, Tabqa, Manbij and Deir Ezzor, in order to get acquainted with the latest political and military developments in North and East of Syria.
Hassan Mohammed Ali, the member of the Presidential Council of the Syrian Democratic Council, spoke about the latest developments in the political scene in Syria generally and in Northern and Eastern Syria particularly.
M.Ali touched on Turkish threats to North and East of Syria saying : “Since SDF’s victory over terrorism, Erdogan regime has sowed discord and chaos among people of the region and created a rift between them in order to implement its plans to strike the state of societal harmony.”
The member of the Presidential Council praised the role of the tribes in achieving unity and solidarity among the people of the region, pointing to the seriousness of the Turkish threats through which Turkey seeks to implement its ambitions in the region and annexing more Syrian territory.
For his part, a leader of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Jamil Mazloum, talked about military developments and the efforts of their forces in preserving the gains achieved by virtue of the sacrifices of their sons, pointing to tendency of SDF to achieve stability and avoid scourge of war.
The Forum concluded by issuing a statement on behalf of the Euphrates Basin tribes , where they condemned Turkish threats and its attempts to destabilize the region. The statement stressed on standing of the tribes with their forces in SDF and its political umbrella, the Syrian Democratic Council and Self-Administration.
The Euphrates tribes’ statement appealed to the United Nations and the International Coalition to expel Turkey from all Syrian territory, including occupied Afrin.
