The Syrian Democratic Council

Statement to Public Opinion

The July 19 revolution entered its seventh year of giving, development and building. It was able to consolidate the concepts of true revolution that represents the culture of the Syrian people and created a democratic society that is capable of responding to needs of change and contemporarity.
The launching of the Syrian revolution in March 2011 prompted the spirit of hope among all Syrians. However, the regional powers diverted their revolution by supporting terrorism and flooding the revolution with political money until the warlords who are supported regionally, are dividing the Syrian territory by false names and slogans. They entered into battles and bazaars serving the interests of their operators.Turkey had the largest and most dangerous role in design and implementation of these schemes.
These regional policies have resulted in destruction of Syrian cities and transformation of cultural and religious structures and monuments into headquarters of groups linked to global terrorism and platforms to launch the discourse of sedition. All of these things were part of schemes that Turkey took fruit by occupation of parts of Syrian territory such as Afrin, Jarablis, al- Bab and recently Idlib.Turkey is still trying to occupy other aras.
Despite all these tragedies, the peoples of Northern and Eastern Syria had another opinion, they became united and maintained the spirit of real revolution, which started again on July 19, 2012. Its administrative, political and military results became the focus of the world’s attention. This revolution avoided large proportion of the Syrian people to be killed and displaced. It was able to build Autonomous Administration and military forces that have eliminated the most dangerous terrorist organization in the world (ISIS).
These important achievements and victories push enemies of people to conspire and threaten. After Seven years , the Turkish state is mobilizing its forces along the borders of Northern and Eastern regions of Syria, which are considered the only safe areas in Syria. These threats express a hostile mind against all peoples of the region. Everyone, including international forces have to put an end to this state which is causing problems on many fronts and working to sabotage stability in the region, especially in Syria and Iraq.
We in the Syria Democratic Council congratulate our people on the anniversary of their blessed revolution. We call upon all free democratic powers and components of Syrian people to unite in the face of the ambitions of occupying regional powers.
