MSDYesterday, on Saturday, the Syrian novelist Khalid Khalifa passed away at the age of 59 in the capital, Damascus, after suffering a heart attack, where that matter saddened Syrians of all backgrounds.
Khalifa witnessed the tragedy of his country and depicted it in his writings, reflecting the political and social developments through his perspective. He supported the cause of his country’s people in their struggle against tyranny, demanding freedom with them.
The late left a literary legacy after a meaningful and humanitarian march, during which he provided many noble stances that were documented in the memories of his friends and admirers, and all Syrians would remember them forever.
We extend our heartfelt condolences and sincere sympathy to the family of the deceased, his loved ones, and to Syria and its people. May Allah Almighty grant him vast mercy, make his soul rest in peace, and grant his family and loved ones patience and solace.
